Love your response on this! I can relate with the letter sender. That’s why I take vacations because between processing grief and my Dad’s treatment, my responsibility as the eldest takes a lot from me.

It is a burden to carry to be the empathetic caregiver in any relational dynamic. Because not only do you see their pain, you feel it too. That discomfort takes up residence in your body as in theirs. You long to heal both for them and for yourself.

I do not know your situation, but I am glad you find reprieve in stepping away when you need to. You first care for others by caring for yourself. It’s the only way.

Sending you love and support on this journey of life!

I think that small pause is such a great step to take to being in tune with yourself. It's something I have been doing more lately.

It’s funny how something so small and seemingly inactive can make such a difference. Keep hold of your power, it will lead you where you need to go!
